November 14, 2008-Milwaukee, Wisconsin;;
My day started to me waking up totally forgetting that it was finally the night that I had been waiting for. School took forever, as always, but once I was out I began to get more excited. We arrived at The Rave at about 6:30 and realized that The Morning Light had already gone on stage. Seriously, every time they come here, I somehow happen to miss them. Anyways, so we stand around and wait for Every Avenue to come on. As always, those boys did a good job. Opening up with Days of the Old and ending with Where Were You? was a great way for the concert to be. I have to say out of all the bands I listen to, Every Avenue has to be one of my favorite bands to see live. Next, The Maine came on stage. I've been looking forward to this because well, I love those boys honestly. Although I wish they could play songs like Daisy, I still liked their set. There wasn't a song that I hated, plus, I love hearing I Must Be Dreaming live. :] After they finished, I rocked out to the music inbetween and patiently waited for Mayday Parade to go on stage. Opening with Three Cheers for Five Years was wonderful because that is definitely my favorite song by them. After I finished rocking out to that song, I decided to go visit Vinny Vegas at the merch table to see what was up. I bought the pillow case and the pajama pants. Since I chilled with Vinny at warped a lot, he remembered me and instantly gave me a huge hug. We talked for like 10 minutes until he had to get back to the people who wanted to buy merch. I told him I'd come back for him later, and he gave me a goodbye hug. By this time, Mayday Parade was on their last song of the night. I'm pretty sure it was Jamie All Over, which I am very content with listening to. I wish I could get more into their live set, it just never has excited me that much. Finally All Time Low came on. Since I had a bag, I decided to hang out in the back of the crowd. They opened up with Poppin' Champagne which excites me because no matter what, I'll love that song. The whole night was spent singing and dancing along to every song in their set. Steph and I even made friends with these two people in front of us who were rocking out just as much as we were. Once Alex whipped out his acoustic guitar for Remembering Sunday, I went back by Vinny to tell him goodbye and that I'd see him the next day. At this time, I saw Josh Randall from Every Avenue. We had a sweet conversation that went kind of like this:
Me: Dude, I seriously love seing you guys live.
Josh: Aw, thanks so much, it means a lot to me.
Me: I just thought I'd let you know that back in like March I drove to go see you in Chicago without my parents knowledge.
Josh: Seriously? That's bad ass, thanks so much.
Me: And I just wanted you to know that your height is kind of intimidating.
Josh: Aw, well I hope you still aren't intimidated by me.
Me: Oh no man! You're so nice, I'll talk to you tomorrow though.
Josh: You're coming tomorrow too?
Me: Yeah, and sunday.
Josh: Wow, thanks for the support.
